My beloved my country Nepal.....
This morning I read "Defying calls from several quarters to withdraw the autonomous state declaration programme, the Maoists went ahead with its plan to declare 13 autonomous states based on ethnicity and region from Dec 11"
I certainly don't like it .... I feel being torn apart, rest of me is being taken away...I feel incomplete...I certainly do not like it...

Your perspective
I think I have always been on the optimistic side. Everything is pleasant when you allow yourself to be hopeful. Some people see the glass half empty, some people see it half full. I see both, half empty and half full and I am ok with that. I don't want to be on denial just looking at it as half full when it is half empty at the same time. And again, I have no complains being it half empty as it is half full too. Because it is the way it is, it allows me to be creative on utilizing the half I have in a way that I don't even miss the half that I don't have

Momo Varieties
In the last 6 months, I have sampled more momoz than I have done in the last 10 years.
In Kathmandu, the price ranges from 20 rupees to 400 rupees for a plate. I realized that it doesn't matter how much you spend for a plate, they are all kinda same in taste and flavour, nothing to write home about. As long as the place is clean and hygienic, go for a middle price range and preferably a place with free internet Wifi access to blog about it. I recommend HIGHER GROUNDS CAFE at Jawalakhel chok.

who gives a crap??
Years before we used to brag about how the country was oh so "peaceful" regardless of the poverty. The country has always been poor, but I guess people weren't so angry about it. Neps were happy go people.
Now, I see many are making a lot of noise about "Nepal - Country of Mt. Everest & Birth Place of "Buddha"".... like the two last hopes that might make you feel special. Don't we have absolutely nothing else left to brag about??

New Years Resolutions!
My New Years Resolutions (Nepal Sambat!)
1. Stop swearing like a sailor ... finally realized that Nepal does not have a NAVY!
2. Stop smoking like a chimney ... start chewing mittha paan!
3. Stop complaining about everything .... tension leney... ka nahi deney kaa!
4. Start using public transportation more often ... save money ... to buy more paan!
5. Start watching Kollywood movies ... not them new-gen stuff (even if Namrata's 'Ice Cream' video is the current Box Office Hit!)... but them usual masala-mix 80s Bollywood love-tragedy-fight-sight copy-cat stuff!

Nepali Momo Revolution?
"There is no such thing as a regular momo, each momo is special.. " - Naked Nepali
There is no doubt that we Nepaliz love momoz but why can't we have momoz in different colours, shapes and sizes ??
Every time I mention this, I get funny looks from other Nepaliz as if I have lost my mind. Their response seems to be "We shouldn't temper with perfection."

Finally a dental record
Yesterday, I went to see the dentist. The last time I went, I was 8-9 years old.
They took X-ray of my jaw. If I ever went down on a plane, at least my unfortunate remains would be identified by my dental record. The US govt already has my fingerprints and my mug shot !! Choosing criminality as a profession is not an option for me now.
The Doc told me that the enamel of my teeth is wearing thin. Tooth enamel is the hardest substance of the body. "Do I grind my teeth during sleep ? " No I don't....
