न्यू योर्क/न्यू जर्सी: हरेक वर्ष अमेरिकी नेपाली महिलाहरूले उत्साहकासाथ मनाउँदै आएको सामूहिक तीज दरखाने भेला यो वर्ष कोरोनाभाईरस महामारीको कारण अमेरिकाभर स्थगित गरिएकोछ।नेपाली दिदिबहिनीहरुले प्रवासमै मिनी नेपालको झल्को लगाएर तीजको रौनक अमेरिकी नेपाली समाजमा नयाँ पुस्तासम्म पुर्याउन सफल भएका थिए। आशा गरौं, आर्को साल दिदीबहिनीहरूले तीज भव्यतापूर्वक पुन: मनाउन सकून्।
Teej is the greatest festival celebrated by Nepalese women with typical Teej songs and dance. Songs reflect joys, sorrows and struggles of Nepalese women's everyday lives. They wear red sari with matching blouse, colorful bangles and green beaded Tilhari necklace. During Teej festival married women pray to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for long live of their beloved husband and young unmarried women pray for getting good future husband.
