Exclusive: Former President Donald J. Trump has emerged victorious in the United States presidential election despite his divisive rhetoric and policies that have divided the nation. Trump’s victory signals a significant chapter in the America’s geo-political landscape that will have serious consequences. But, let’s hope for the best. On the other hand, Vice President Kamala Harris could not break a 235-year streak of male presidents, dating back to first President George Washington’s inauguration in 1789. American women were granted the right to vote only a century ago on August 26, 1920 but Harris and Hillary’s ballot loss proved that America is still not ready to elect woman President.
It’s unfortunate that Trump’s approach has often been polarizing, with many critics accusing him of fostering division and diminishing the role of immigrant communities in America’s rich story of how America was built by these people who came here to full-fill their American Dream. His administration previously enacted policies that were seen as distancing rather than uniting, challenging ideals of inclusion and diversity that have long been central to American values.
As Trump prepares to take office once more time, we urge that his administration must work to foster unity and tolerance, embracing the diversity that makes America unique. For a country built on principles of equality and opportunity for all, the path forward depends on prioritizing these shared values to bring Americans together.
