जर्सी सिटीमा तीज पर्व सम्पन्न, वरिष्ठ हाँस्य कलाकार बसुन्धरा भुसाल र कोरियोग्राफर गोविन्द राई सम्मान

Exclusive: वुमन फर कज (डब्ल्यूएफसी), एनआरएनए र हड्सन स्पिक्स -बोलो बहनको संयुक्त आयोजनामा नेपाली नारीहरूको तीज पर्व अमेरिकाको न्यू जर्सी राज्यको जर्सी सिटी सहरमा भव्यतापूर्वक मनाईएकोछ। उक्त समारोहमा वरिष्ठ हाँस्य कलाकार बसुन्धरा भुसाल र सुपरिचित कोरियोग्राफर गोविन्द राईलाई सम्मान गरिएकोछ। जर्सी सिटी सहर काउन्सिल प्रेसिडेंट जोयस वाटरम्यानले कलाकारद्वयलाई विशेष कदरपत्रबाट सम्मान गरेकि हुन्।

जर्सी सिटी सहर नगर परिषदबाट सम्मानित वरिष्ठ हाँस्य कलाकार बसुन्धरा भुसालले आफ्नो ६५ वर्ष कलाकारितामा १५० वटा चलचित्र, ६० भन्दा वढी टेलिचलचित्र र ४० भन्दा बढी नाटकहरूमा आफ्नो अभिनय गरी सकेकिछिन्।

त्यसैगरी, सुपरिचित कोरियोग्राफर गोविन्द राईले आफ्नो ३१ वर्ष कलाकारितामा एक सयभन्दा वढी चलचित्र र अर्को एक सयभन्दा बढी म्यूजिक भिडियोमा कोरियोग्राफी/नृत्य निर्देशन गरेकाछन्।

उक्त तीज पर्व समारोहमा न्यू जर्सी र न्यू योर्क राज्यका २२ जना नेपाली महिलाहरूले हड्सन स्पिक्स -बोलो बहन र डब्ल्यूएफसीद्वारा संचालित Financial Literacy Training बाट ग्रेयाजुएट गरेकोमा जर्सी सिटी सहरका मेयर स्टिभन फुलपबाट प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान गरिएकोछ।

तीज समारोहलाई डब्ल्यूएफसीकि संस्थापक अध्यक्ष एवं हड्सन स्पिक्सकि वरिष्ठ परियोजना निर्देशक डा. विष्णुमाया परियार, डब्ल्यूएफसीकि पूर्व अध्यक्ष एवं व्यावसायी रेणु शर्मा, डब्ल्यूएफसीकि अध्यक्ष कविना महर्जन, अन्तराष्ट्रीय नेपाली साहित्य समाज बोर्ड अफ ट्रष्टी अध्यक्ष गीता खत्री र नेपाली अमेरिकन कलाकार संघकी अध्यक्ष निशा सुनारले सम्बोधन गरेका थिए। समारोहको सन्चालन डब्ल्यूएफसीकि सचिव रूबिना श्रेष्ठले गरेकि थिईन्।

कलाकारद्वय बसन्ति राई र नृत्य निर्देशक गोविन्द राईले मनमोहक युगल नृत्य गरेर तीज पर्वको रमझममा रमाउन उपस्थित दिदीबहिनीहरूलाई मन्त्रमुग्ध पारेका थिए भने गायिका निशा सुनारको सुमधुर गीतमा दिदी बहिनीहरू खुब झुमेका थिए। कलाकार कविना महर्जनको सुन्दर नृत्यसंगै शुरू भएको तीज पर्वको रमझममा वरिष्ठ कलाकार बसुन्धरा भुषालको मोहक नृत्यसंगै दिदीबहिनीहरूको सामुहिक नृत्यले समारोहलाई अविस्मरणीय बनाएको थियो। तीजको दर खाएर समारोहको विसर्जन भएको थियो।

Legendary Nepali actor Basundhara Bhusal

Mrs. Basundhara Bhusal, 71, is a legendary Nepali actor and philanthropist. She is the first actress who has popularized comedian roles in Nepali cinema including her debut in first Nepali movie Aama in 1964. Prior to that she started as child artist in Nepali theator in 1957.

Mrs. Bhusal has acted in 150 Nepali feature films, 60 telefilms, more than 40 drama/operas and half a dozen of music videos during her 65 years long trailblazing acting career.

Mrs. Bhusal is still very much active in Nepali cinema and her over six decades of unsurpassed acting contribution was applauded by national and international honors including many Lifetime Achievement Awards. She was also conferred Mahendra Ratna Bhusan award (1968) by King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah and Gorkha Dakshin Bahu 4th by King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah for her outstanding contribution to the Nepali Cinema. She is fondly called Hasya Samragyi (aka Queen of Comedy) by art aficionados for her brilliance in her comedy acting roles.

Mrs. Basundhara Bhusal served as co-founder and coordinator of Film-fraternity Welfare Trust which is established under Film Development Board, Nepal Government, through that she has been actively helping hundreds of distressed and in need artists, technicians for over 21 years while establishing a half million dollars permanent fund. She is also one of the founding members of Film Development Board of Nepal Government, patron of Nepali Film Technician Association (NEFTA) and founding president of Bhuwan Chaitya Basundhara Foundation from which she provides her charitable works.

Senior Choreographer Gobind Rai

Mr. Gobind Rai is a senior Nepali choreographer who has developed his unique styles over his 31 years of dance choreography in Nepali movies and music videos.

Mr. Rai has choreographed in more than one hundred films and another hundred plus music videos during his career as dance director. He has also directed a film Nagbeli in 2014.

For his exceptional choreography skills, Mr. Rai was honored as Best Choreographer or Best Dance Director including KTV  NEFTA FILM AWARD- The Best Dance Director of the Year 2009, Chhaya Chaabi D'cine Best Dance Director of the Year 2009, TTV NEFTA FILM AWARD- The Best Dance Director of the Year 2011, Samajhana Digital Film Best Dance Director Award 2011, Sparsh Music Video Award for the Best Director of the Year 2020 and Box Office Teej Best Dance Director Award 2021.
